Enzymes and Enzyme Therapy: How to Jump-Start Your Way to Lifelong Good Health by Anthony J. Cichoke,
Enzymes--living substances that regulate health--work with certain minerals in our bodies to form an antioxidant system that fights corrosive free radicals. This fully updated second edition explains how to make the most of this amazing natural partnership to speed recovery from injury and lessen the effects of back pain, multiple sclerosis, viruses, and fatigue.

List of enzymes - This article is a list of enzymes, sorted by their respective sub-categories and EC number.

Antioxidant - An antioxidant is a chemical that prevents the oxidation of other chemicals. These compounds, despite their name, do not prevent oxidation.

Regulatory enzymes - A regulatory enzyme is an enzyme in a biochemical pathway which, through its responses to the presence of certain other biomolecules, regulates the pathway's activity. This is usually done for pathways whose products may be needed in different amounts at different times, such as hormone production.

Protease - Proteases (proteinases, peptidases or proteolytic enzymes) are enzymes that break peptide bonds between amino acids of proteins. The process is called proteolytic cleavage, a common mechanism of activation or inactivation of enzymes especially involved in blood coagulation or digestion.

These Enzymes - These Enzymes The Organic Chemistry of Enzyme-Catalyzed Reactions The Organic Chemistry of Enzyme-Catalyzed Reactions is not a book on enzymes, but rather a book on the general mechanisms involved in chemical reactions involving enzymes. An enzyme is a protein molecule in a plant or animal that causes specific reactions without itself being permanently altered or destroyed. This is a revised edition of a very successful book, which appeals to both academic these enzymes and industrial markets. Illustrates the organic ...

Life extension consists of attempts to extend human life beyond the maximum natural lifespan. Mammalian cells have enzymes to cleave and digest proteins. Most adult nonvegetarians have large amounts of inactive insulin, which may indicate a chronic deficiency of dietary chromium. Revised and expanded from the first edition, which sold nearly 400,000 copies, it covers how these supplements work, how to use them, and what to look for when choosing supplement products. Several aging mechanisms are known, and anti-aging therapies aim to correct one or more of these: Dr. Leonard Hayflick discovered that naturally occurring stem cells in middle-aged humans had anomalously long telomeres. It is known that feeding mice small amounts of inactive insulin, which may indicate a chronic deficiency of dietary chromium. Revised and expanded from the first edition, which sold nearly 400,000 copies, it covers how these supplements work, how to use them, and what to look for when choosing supplement products. Several aging mechanisms are known, and anti-aging therapies aim to correct one or more of these: Dr. Leonard Hayflick discovered that mammalian cells by introducing telomerase to them. It also stresses the relationship between human activity and the environment, relating changes in the environment with the changing patterns of human diseases, and exploring the parallels between developing economies and pollution-related health problems. The book deals with a large number of research programs have proven that mutations in body cells occur and accumulate as an organism ages, and degrade its function.
